This IS an infection and whilst this can help you do need to see your doctor as maybe you will need a course of anti biotics to help clear it up.

No, yougurt does not help with bv infection because it's not the right kind of bacteria. I just posted a question about this a got great feedback. But if you do have bv, you need to see the dr for medication to treat it. Here's the link http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuM0KblqK_R7uEI8jMtP4Vvsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20090506012142AAyuEij

You will need to find plain yogurt that contains live lactobacillus acidophilus, an active culture which is typically found at health food stores and even some grocery stores. You see, lactobacillus will not only stop the growth of harmful bacteria, but will also help you restore your balance of healthy vaginal bacteria.

Whatever kind you use, make sure it isn't artificially sweetened with aspartame.

i used it for the only yeast infection I ever had, you have to use plain yogurt and apply straight to the source of the problem.. for a long time, i thought you were suppose to eat it.. haha. The next day it was compleatly gone and I haven't had another one since and I've even been pregnant since then.

I get so P.O.'d at ppl on here who say "you need to take antibiotics" or "you need to be prescribed medication" to get rid of it for sure. I think those advice-givers should shut up and stop misleading ppl into thinking they have no choice and that natural therapy is bogus. Guaranteed, no one who says these things has ever tried a more natural, safer remedy.

I had BV a couple years ago and I asked the doc what natural supplements I could use or something dietary I could eat to cure it. He said absolutely not and I had to clear it up through antibiotic treatment before I got pregnant.
Guess what? I said F that, went home and ate well as usual and thought about yogurt etc. What I ended up doing was taking Oil of Oregano orally occasionally, as well as Apple Cider Vinegar orally (and a couple times I washed with it vaginally), also a few drops of Colloidal Silver under my tongue. What I did most commonly though, was a few times a week I'd add a few drops of tea tree oil on my finger and place a bit in vaginally. It stings but I know it definitely helps. I can't tell you exactly what cured me, but I think it was the tea tree oil. So if you decide to try anything, that's the one!

To all you lame antibiotic-pushers: I'm pregnant now. I was worried about the BV when I went in for a pap smear and the tests came back clean. Wonder why! Nature cured me just fine!

I tried Liquid Goddess and that helped me alot. I havent had a single yeast infection since. Something about their ingredients helps the flora in the vagina.
    Try it…cant hurt.
    Hope this helps.
