What are the differences in the symptoms of thrush/yeast infection and BV?

Look closely. I said SYMPTOMS.

    one is a yeast infection and the other is a bacterial infection. Fungal vs. bacteria.

    BV gives off a very strong unpleasant odor. If you’re unsure what it is..or symptoms get worse or no marked improvement with time go see a doc

    Yeast infections tend to not smell as badly as bacterial vaginosis. Bacterial vaginosis tends to have a stronger smell and a heavier discharge. Add to this the fact that yeast infections are caused by a fungus whereas bacterial vaginosis is caused by bacteria in your vagina. Whatever the case may be, go see your ob/gyn asap. They will do a full exam and let you know what is going on with you.

    BV honks. Usually like fish (which is where they fish put downs come from – bv is so common and some girls have had it so long they think it’s normal). But I’ve had bv and it smelt like onions :( Also the discharge can be yellow or greenish, and if it’s really bad the discharge is foamy. The discharge can irritate the skin.

    Thrush can be a thick white discharge but it can also be heavy and milky. It sometimes itches. It smells but not too strong, and not really bad. More like a yeast/bread smell.
