Hi. I’ve been dating this girl for a little while. She’s overweight mind you, so that may be playing a part on this problem, I don’t know. But, she has this strong odor in the vagina, specially when we start having sex. She doesn’t really have it before that, but once we start having sex, this strong "fishy" odor starts to come out. I don’t know if she doesn’t bath well, although she says she does, but its starting to be a turn off for me. She says its "normal" to have that odor, but I have had sex with many women before and nobody had that smell. In fact, I didn’t smell anything on those women before. Please help.

unghh, breakup with her, guaranteed to theres a chicken wing or sumthin stuck up there.
Hmmm. Sounds like she needs to improve her personal hygiene. That or she’s rotten.
a ‘fishy’ odor is NOT normal.Being overweight may mean she sweats more, but it is not an excuse not to stay fresh ‘downstairs’. She may have some sort of bacterial infection.Advise her to go to the docs to get checked out.the smell maybe bad due to poor hygiene(and if so..ewww),but if she has an infection she needs to get it treated asap.
I would have a talk with her about this if i were you.
good luck!
lol embarrassing haha she should go see a doctor because my guess is if she has a fishy oder like that it might be she has bacterial vaginosis and doesnt realize it look up the bacterial infection on google..and if thats what she has then you both need to get treated ..its not an std or bad but it does cause a fishy odor.. or her ph balance is just off and she should get something called rePHresh it helps clean the inside moisterize and restore a healthy ph balance..you can find this at most walmarts and walgreens..it isnt normal but im sure she can easily fix this..and it doesnt have to do with bathing well because the smell stays regauderless if she washes you probubly just dont realize the fishy smell on the outside because she IS cleaning well the smell is just coming from inside where bacteria is and this is probubly why she hasnt noticed it either
Hi,
Any change in vaginal odor warrants further evaluation of a gynecologist to rule out infection. This can be due to bacterial vaginosis which is very common. This can be due to disruption of the normal bacterial population in the vagina and can be due to intake of antibiotic, stress, and other factors. This can be treated with the proper medications. Talk to her and tell her about this with out hurting her feelings. Take care.
That fishy smell is the good bacteria that has been disrupted. When this happens , the bacteria multiplies incredibly and usually results in a yeast infection or other problems. This bacteria is usually discharge.
This can happen with a woman’s hygiene , antibiotics they have been taking (ask her if she is on any medication) or wearing synthetic blend underwear.
I suggest talking to her about this problem because keeping quiet won’t help either of you. Talk to her gently about the odor she has. Ask her if she really does bathe regularly (once a day) , taking any antibiotics. (If she is taking , look on the side and see any side effects). Underwear is a huge problem. Certain types will increase the amount of bacteria and the odor becomes stronger. Ask her about what she wears and if she wears synthetic blend underwear , advise her to wear cotton underwear.

I also suggest researching more so that she knows what you are taslking about.
I hoped that I have helped.
