vaginal odor, early sign of pregnancy?

I want to start by saying, I have never had an STD, I have only had "BV" one time (while I had the Mirena, which I no longer have) and I have only had one UTI my whole life, about 2 years ago. So, I have a very healthy lower area. So, briefly, my story is as follows: I had my mirena taken out in March after having it for about 2 years. I have been TTC since march, and no such luck. Last night I noticed a very strong odor, which is only worsening (and yes, I shower daily, so its not anything from being dirty) I was supposed to get my period on Saturday (10/17) and still nothing. I have only been late on my period one other time, right before my wedding and I think it was due to stress. So, can this odor be an early sign of pregnancy? I could just be miscalculating my period, I don’t want to get my hopes up just to be let down again. Please, any advice would be appreciated.

    Sounds like an infection.

I agree with previous poster, it sounds like an infection. An infection can happen anytime, whether you have a history of them or not… and hygiene isn’t necessarily a factor.

So don’t let your previous history and impeccable hygiene keep you from getting properly diagnosed.

Odor is NOT a sign of pregnancy.

    Good luck.

Is it sort of an acidic type smell? If so, your period is about to start. I would get the same thing right before my period and the month I got pregnant, I never had the smell. If you usually spot before your period, when you take a bath next, wet a q tip and swab inside to see if there’s any blood on it. I know it’s tmi, but my periods were anywhere from 24-32 days apart, so sometimes that was the only way I knew it was time to put in a crotch rocket. lol

When I was pregnant (miscarriage in June) there was a different odor that I had’nt notice before. Might be an infection, might be not but it’s best to check with your doctor. Goodluck

It sounds like an infection. It does not matter how healthy you are you will still get infections. I never had an odor due to pregnancy. Thats not to say your not pregnant. But the odor does need to be treated
