Thick white vaginal discharge?

About a month and a half ago there was my vaginal secretions were very thick, kind of like a mixture of flour and water. It did not smell, and was an off white color. I was on the mini pill for birth control and had missed my period. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. I then decided to go off of the pill, and three days later I got my period, but it was light, and sort of spotty. My strange discharge went away. Now it has come back, and my urine is very dark. What could be wrong with me? I went to the doctor and they said UTI, I got treated for that and it cleared it up. Could it just be another UTI?

have you been to a gyno? most vaginal yeast infections SEEM to clear up after a bit of time, but they re appear later. DO NOT leave it untreated. if you do, there is a chance you may not be able to have kids in the future and it can lead to many other more serious problems.

Thick White Vaginal Discharge?

I woke up today with a really painful thick white vaginal discharge. It almost looks like lotion and has been happening all day. It itches a bit, but my vagina feels swollen and it's kind of painful. Does anyone know what this could be or what I could do to help? Thanks. :)

A infection definately, go to the OB/GYN they can prescribe you a good medicine.

Thick white vaginal discharge itself isn't a problem, however itching and pain does suggest a yeast infection – you can treat the infection yourself with over the counter medications such as thrush cream or home methods such as plain pro-bio yogurt, however if you're not sure what it is then it is best to go to your doctors for testing and treatment. Not just to make sure you get the correct sort of treatment for whatever is causing this problem, but also so that you know for next time if you get these symptoms what the cause and treatment would be.

Sounds like yeast? Do you feel like you have to pee all of the time? and then it stings when you try to pee? if so, then you definatly have yeast. Just go to your local drug store, like wal greens, and get the over the counter stuff, id suggest the kit, which is about $30 but well worth it.
    Good luck!

You could have an allergy or you could have an infection.

    Different types of infections:

    Signs of yeast infections:
    White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
    Intense itching

    Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
    Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva

    Signs of trichomoniasis
A watery, yellowish or greenish bubbly discharge
    An unpleasant odor
    Pain and itching when urinating
    Most apparent after your period

Once you start puberty a white and/or clear discharge is normal. The vagina is self-cleaning. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused. Trust me, you don't ever want it to go away.

    Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown. This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle.
