When i wiped after using the bathroom I had quite a large chunk of clear, snot looking discharge. No smell, no STD's. What could it be?
is this a sign of pregnancy? I am about half-way between my periods i think… so perhaps Im ovulating?
I have been off the pill for a couple months and recently had unprotected sex and my bf finished inside me, I rinsed myself out right after (i know that wont prevent pregnancy so don't bother giving me a sex-ed talk) . When i look this up in google all i see is mucus plugs and people who are pregnant asking about it. Could think be an early sign of pregnancy? Has anyone experience this before?

  1. i'd kill for snot-like, clear, chunky vaginal discharge. i've been TTC for five years now and that is perfect. can i have yours?

  2. It's normal. Nothing to worry about.

The cervix normally has a thick mucus plug protecting the uterus from infection. Hormonal changes around the time of ovulation make the mucus plug thin, producing wet and stringy mucus. This makes it easier for sperm to enter. The change can produce noticeable discharge, even small clumps of mucus.

  3. STOP IT!!! LA LA LA LA LA (I'm covering my ears!!)

  4. Sounds like ovulation to me.

Once you start puberty a white and/or clear discharge is normal. The vagina is self-cleaning. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused.

    Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.

  5. OMG, Vaginal discharge that looks like snot, it sounds like you're bf is blowing his nose in ur panties again.

  6. That clear snot like vaginal discharge what happens when you are ovulating. Its normal. Its purpose is to help keep clear the way for those little sperms. muwah ha ha haaaa
