Bacterial vaginosis treatment review

I have suffered vaginal yeast infection fo a long time. I also have tried many medicines, but no obvious effect. Is anybody who knows the treatment of vaginal yeast infection? How to treat vaginal yeast infection?

she was on an astibotic for at least 10 days of a broken toe nail infection. she licks alot back there and vulva is pretty red. thanks for any help. kim
is there any treatment that we we can use/do at home? we can’t afford another vet bill. but we don’t want our girl to suffer with illness either.

Heres the history. I went to to urgent care at 15 weeks due to a horrible vaginal irritation. I assume it was a yeast infection due to the white discharge, fishy smell, burning and itching. So the on call practionioner did not want to do a vaginal exam because she said I was too early in pregnancy. She had me swipe the inside of my vagina and she looked at the discharge under a microscope. She said that she did not find yeast, trich, or BV. He said it was just an irritation and told me to use vagisil and dove scentless soap. My irritation continued to torture me. Two weeks later I had my doctors appointment and my doc did a vaginal exam and she put the swab under a microscope and she said that I did have a mid case of BV and she prescribe me metronidozole(something like that), which is an antibotic. It was a 7 day treatment and I got relief on the 3rd day but the symptoms came back and worst. So now I am depress because I am so miserable. So yesterday at my 21 weeks check up I told my doc I am still itching burning and all, so they check my urine and found 2+ leukyocytes(something like that) so she said it was a UTI but when she did my vaginal exam she said just by the look of it, she new it was a raging yeast infection but she was too lazy to put it under the microscope. I ask about the uti they found and she said it was just due to the discharge from the yeast infection. She prescribe we 2 med. Diflucan and some yeast infection creme. The diflucan is a 2day treatment and I began the creme after I finish the diflucan if my symptoms persist. Ok so heres the question Did the antibiotics cause the yeast infection? I took my first diflucan pill yesterday and a couple hours later I notice a bunch of vaginal mucus dicharge yellowish with chunks in it, coming out of my vagina. I been having this discharge all of along but it never pour out like this. Does this mean the pill is working and thats just chunks of bacteria coming from my vagina or do i still have bv. I know some people say the bacteria just dissolves and you cant see it come out. I am not experiencing any itching or burning as of yesterday. Please share your yeast infection stories.

Lately around the ‘lips’ it has looked kind of red and there are white flakes on certain parts of it. I have never had sex, so I know it’s not an STD. Also when this thing started, it was really itchy down there and it wouldn’t stop itching even if I scratched. The only way to stop it is if I scratch really hard until it hurts. All inside the outer ‘lips’ it is all red and looks kind of like a rash…should I use some kind of rash cream or will this go away in a few days?

It started on July 29th,[2010] and it still itches right now…please tell me what the problem might be and possible ways to treat this at home.

also and itch. She was on amoxicillin about 2 1/2 months ago for strep throat. It doesnt seem to be the whitish discharge of a yeast infection. Dr. said to use OTC yeast treatments. I think he should have asked to see her. What do you think?

I have a yeast infection and took a1 dose vaginal treatment last night, later this mroning I realized the medication had expired 7 mos. ago, I am not experiencing relief of symptoms, and am wondering if I can, and /or should take another one dose treatment again tonight?

So about a week ago I was diagnosed with my first ever yeast infection. I have a rash covering the entire area with the usual itchiness and pain. My doctor prescribed me 150mg tablets of Fluconazole. I took the first one and there were no improvements, although the packaging said some should be seen in as little as 25 hours. As directed by my doctor, I took the second 3 days later. It has now been over 25 hours since I took the last pill and I am still in distress. The pain and itchiness has caused many sleepless nights and I just want this to go away. I take the third and last pill in 2 days. I was also prescribed cream to help with the itching but it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference to me. I would like to hear from people who have experienced this as well while using this medication. I hope there is still hope to clear up this nuisance!
