Getting the balance back is the best thing to do. Start by getting some probotics, which you can get at any drugstore in the vitamin isle. You also will need to cut down on the carbs and sugars, too. I havent had a single yeast infection since. Something about their ingredients helps the flora in the vagina. Try it...cant hurt. Hope this helps. If your having chronic BV it could be that you and your partner are just passing it back and forth. See if your Dr will give him a course of metronidazole to take at the same time as you. Unfortunately one of the known triggers of BV is sperm. You may have to use condoms every time from now on or have it so that he doesn't ejaculate inside of you.
