  1. Wilter Q says:

If you’re wondering whether bacterial vaginosis is contagious and if you’ve passed it on to you ? Well BV is not an STD but it is a form of vaginal infection. This infection has this stigma of a sexual connotation and therefore people assume it’s another STD. BV is not a sexually transmitted disease. you should be in the clear.

  2. melany says:

BV is not a STD- the bacteria responsible for this infection cannot survive in male organs. Some of the symptoms of this infection like vaginal odor, itching and burning sensation can be unpleasant for the woman suffering from the infection. Hence to let the infection heal properly and quickly it is best if you abstain from sex till all symptoms of the infection subside completely. If necessary and she feels like you can have sex but with condoms.

any particular reason for your resorting to conventional medicines for treating her infection? Have you considered natural cures since this infection responds well to natural remedies. 1. Lizzy says:

No it won’t be dangerous for you. You’ll be exposed to the bacteria, but it doesn’t affect men. It could reinfect her though. She needs antibiotic treatment. Usually the treatment is a medication called flagyl. It comes in pill form or in a intravaginal cream. FYI drinking alcohol is strictly contraindicated while on this medication. You’ll get very ill if you try it.

  2. GS158 says:

hell no!!!! it’s bacterial …you’ll get infected….BUT. if you wear those things around your thing i think that’ll be fine.

  3. Achmed the Dead Terrorist says:

Lizzy is right on the money.

Only thing I would add is she should take a shower before getting intimate as that will make a huge difference during sex. Showering together first will just add to the fun :-)

I know several women that have that condition.

  4. Nonpartisan says:

It isn’t something men really need to worry about. However after sex there will be more discharge which could become more irritating.
A condom can help prevent further infection and not wearing thongs. Also try to make sure that the condom isn’t the spermicide kind as it could effect the infection.
