My doctor said I had BV ( Bacterial Vaginosis(?)) and gave me a treatment for it. one day after getting my first treatment, I had sexual intercourse (I know I shouldn’t have done it). But what can happen if I did while on the BV treatment.

  1. l o v e says:

It should be safe, provided your partner doesn’t have an allergy to the medication you were prescribed. Often when on antibiotics (regardless of route, e.g. by mouth, vagina, etc) you can also develop a yeast infection, which in some cases be given to your partner. The chances of this are slim. If you are still concerned, wear a condom.

  2. perfection says:

Semen can aggravate bv, so it’s best to use condoms anyway. If I have unprotected sex even for three seconds, I get raging bv.
