Is bacterial vaginosis linked to Lymes disease?

Lately i havent been feeling well. I went to my gynocologist who did a pap. The results were that i had a bacterial infection which my dr prescribed a intervaginal gel for five days. In the same week i went to my pcp who ordered a blood test. She tested for a bunch of thing including an ELISA and Western Blot for Lymes. The ELISA came back negative, but the Western Blot came back Postitive for Lymes. I have read that HIV, bacterial vaginosis are related with a positive western blot. But i also heard the testing for lyme is different than testing for HIV even tho its done very much the same. Can someome please help me make this clear? Perhaps bacterial vaginosis and Lymes have no link whatsoever. Or maybe i have something far worse than Lyme. HELP!

(My symtoms are and irregular heart beat, fatigue, achy body, lack of appetite, severe anxiety, depression, trouble staying focused, dizziness when standing, short term memory loss, lack of concetration.etc.)

Without a lot of research, I don’t believe anyone could answer this for you. It could be pure coincidence that you got BV around the same time you were diagnosed with Lymes disease (which could give you every one of the symptoms you listed). You need to continue working with your doctor that diagnosed your Lymes disease because sometimes, one course of antibiotics is not enough and you need to continue to ask for repeat testing intermittently over the next year.
