BV is the name of a condition in women where the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted and replaced by an overgrowth of certain bacteria. It is sometimes accompanied by discharge, odor, pain, itching, or burning. The cause of BV is not fully understood. BV is associated with an imbalance in the bacteria that are normally found in a woman’s vagina. The vagina normally contains mostly "good" bacteria, and fewer "harmful" bacteria. BV develops when there is an increase in harmful bacteria. Not much is known about how women get BV. There are many unanswered questions about the role that harmful bacteria play in causing BV. Any woman can get BV. However, some activities or behaviors can upset the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina and put women at increased risk including having new or multiple sex partners or douching. It is not clear what role sexual activity plays in the development of BV. Women do not get BV from toilet seats, bedding, swimming pools, or from touching objects around them. Women who have never had sexual intercourse may also be affected. I would contact your gynecologist and set up an appointment.
I had the same problem i just went to planned parenthood and they ran a test and gave me a prescription it went away a couple days after
they said the most common ways to get it is wiping the wrong way (back to front instead of front to back), leaving a tampon in to long, or from bacteria on fingers or a mans penis and douching
just call and make an appointment with your doctor or at your local planned parenthood (if you don’t have the money they don’t make you pay) and get it checked ou
Not mentioned so far is that you can get it by washing too much, your 4 showers a day is probably the cause not the remedy, soap also causes it, make sure you use a very gentle soap,

I think you have a yeast infection. BV doesnt itch. You can purchase over the counter treatment for that and take care of it in less than a week. Yeast infections can develope a stentch if gone without treatment for a period of time. Go to the gyno if you need a secod oppinion.
