I need a cure for bacterial vaginosis!?

TOO MUCH INFORMATION. If you have a queesy stomach, dont read..Okay. I’m 28 weeks pregnant today and I have bacterial vaginosis. My dr. told me I had it after doing a pelvic exam and looking under the microscope when I was only 4 weeks pregnant! He gave me a few different antibiotics to get rid of it but it’d go away only while I was taking the medication daily. The very next day I was out, it would start to come back. He told me at that point not to worry about it and he would take care of it later on in the pregnancy because he claimed some of the stronger antibiotics werent safe at this point in my pregnancy. Everytime I go in and ask about it he said he’s not concerned with that right now. I’ve called other doctors and asked them what they thought and they always gave me the same answer. " they dont know my history and my dr knows what he’s doing" I don’t have the insurance to just go out and get a new dr. I’ve done some research and I haven’t found any information saying that it could hurt the baby but it was just mainly annpoying and a bother.. I have tried a lot. I’ve inserted regular (unsweetened) yogurt up there, I tried eating unsweetened yogurt but that didn’t seem to help at all either, unless I ate a HUGE mass of it and I can’t do that everyday, it makes me sick.. It has gotten so bad that I have to wear a panty liner ALL THE TIME because the discharge is so rediculous and the smell is terrible..My question is, since my dr won’t give me anything to help… is there any home remedies that can get rid of it, or at least make it better that I can do since I’m pregnant? I dont want to do anything dangerous to the baby. This is getting unbareable for me. This is really affecting my life now. I don’t feel comfortable wearing shorts. I refuse to have sex because I’m embarassed about the discharge and smell…Please if anyone knows of anything that can help me I’d really appreciate it.

Please no negative comments. If it isn’t helpful or nice keep it to yourself. I’m asking because I need help and advice I don’t need to be critisized. Thank you.

no home remedies will cure a bacterial infection. I am stumped why your doctor won’t treat it, there are plenty of safe remedies while you are pregnant. Talk with your pharmacist and see what is safe for you and then present these choices to your doctor and explain you’d like to be on one to clear up your infection.

According to me women are the most complicated living beings on earth as they have many diseases associated with them which are recurrent and difficult to treat. Bacterial vaginosis is one of such illness that affects almost every woman at least once in their life time. Do you know how it is caused? If no, let me tell you, it is caused whenever there is imbalance in the bacterial level of vagina. When the acidic ph of vagina changed to alkaline there is an outgrowth of pathogens which causes this particular condition. Are you aware of the cures for bacterial vaginosis? I am taking this opportunity to explain you some of the best ways of treatment.

Unprotected intercourse, poor hygiene, and douching are some of the common causes for this ailment. First and foremost you should consult a doctor and verify the diagnosis so that you can be sure of your illness. There are many conditions which resemble bacterial vaginosis and treatment options are different in each case. Here are a few cures for bacterial vaginosis which is natural and safe.

If you are in habit of douching frequently then the most effective cures for bacterial vaginosis is to stop that completely. It is not a healthy practice and can lead to worsening of the illness. Make sure to use condoms while involving in an act to prevent further infection. Do not keep switching from one birth pill to another as it can lead to bacterial vaginosis. Stick to one method of prevention rather than trying out all possible methods available in the market.

When you are suffering from this illness put an extra effort in being neat and clean. Do not wear synthetic or lace lingeries as they trap moisture and lead to itching. Use cotton panties which ventilate the skin sufficiently and help in absorbing the moisture formed in the vaginal area. The best cures for bacterial vaginosis are destroying the environment needed for the pathogen to grow. This can be achieved by practicing healthy standards of living.

Most of the time diseases are caused because of our mistakes and ignorance regarding the illness. Science has progressed to such an extent that cures for bacterial vaginosis is no longer a big deal. Treat your illness at the earliest and lead a relaxed life. In spite of all these sufferings I am happy to be a woman because we are special and the carriers of a new generation.
