I am 39 1/2 weeks and experiencing thick yellow vaginal discharge?

I am 39 1/2 weeks and during my 38th week my mucus plug passed over a few days. Now I am experiencing yellow discharge that began yesterday and continued althroughout the day. I woke up this morning and its continued. It seems to be a yellow discharge that stained my underwear yesterday and is relatively thick. What is this? Should I worry?

    I know this might sound gross but does it smell weird, if there is an odor to it you would want to go see you’re doctor right away. If there is no smell then it might only be discharge however if you are still worried i would suggest calling you’re doctor and asking them what it could be.

    Sounds like your mucus plug. It is pretty common.

    It can be your mucus plug, when I lost mine it was a thick yellow clump mine came out all at once, yours seems like its coming out slowly or discharge can pick up during your last few weeks of pregnancy. Give your doctor’s office a quick call and they can help you determine what’s the strange mucus is. :-) good luck and your so close.
