  1. If you've never had vaginitis/vaginal candidiasis before, you need to be diagnosed by a doctor. After that, if you have it again you'll know it for what it is and can treat it yourself with OTC antifungals like Monostat 1.

Run a search for the symptoms and see if you have a match.

  2. Ok, I don't want to be rude or crude, but washing with a gentle soap every day especially after your period will help prevent. Also, it's best NOT to use a douche. This can actually CAUSE infections. If it's only an itch, you may just be dry. If you have an infection you'll probably notice a smelly discharge. See the link below for more details.

  3. There many infections that may not have any specific symptoms. If you had unprotected s*x, and suspect that you may have something wrong, it is wise to get tested for STD's. Some infections can be cured by over-the-counter meds. But, you need to know what you have.

  4. Well there are certain symptoms for each infection. It could be anything. You should really just go the doctor and see what it could be.

  5. Its a yeast infection, go to Walgreens and buy over the counter yeast treatments, like Monostat 7.

  6. I had the same problem and i went to the doctor and she gave me something to help stop it, You should not try anything w/o seeing your doctor first. My doctor told me it sometimes can make it worst if you use the wrong thing. It is mostly a Vaginal infection. If you are not having all the normal yeast infection problems like white discharge and etc. then its probably is not a yeast infection.
