Green vaginal discharge?

This might be kind of gross.. but here goes..
Lately the past few weeks I’ve had very green vaginal discharge. It’s green, thick, and has a strong odor. After I started noticing this, I went to my gyno and she checked for a yeast infection and also for gonorrhea and chlamydia, all negative. She told me nothing looked out of the ordinary. I’m married, and have only had sex with one person (him) my whole life.. It doesn’t itch or burn, it’s not painful.. just green, and smells pretty bad. Suggestions..?
She didn’t tell me to do anything. She said everything looked normal. But I know it’s not normal, because I’ve never had this before.

go see another doc or tell ur doc u want more tests ran. i’ve never heard of this, there has got to be an explanation. what exactly did the doc tell u to do?

  2. mel_2512 says:

Yeast infection? You can buy over the counter yeast infection tests. If you have it is pretty simple to get rid of it.

    Good luck

  3. Suuziii says:

    Its nothing to worry about…

Every persons body is different and can sometimes change, if you dont feel it is affecting you in any way and you have been to the gyno and all tests came back neg it is absalutely nothing to worry about.

    Chin up Hun xx

  4. bubbles says:

you can try doucing but not too much it will dry you out, its pretty normal though.

  5. Alexa browngirl says:

douch to clean out everything , douch make u smell like flowers down there too

  6. Dr. DOLY says:

green discharge is a symptom of vaginal infection – you can check all symptoms and discharge evaluation – see below

  7. jeza_babi_89 says:

possible infection or std your dr didnt test for. definately get checked by a specialist

  8. Love says:

I would suggest a 2nd opinion. Not that your doctor is wrong, but I personally do not think green is a good color for what your experiencing.

  9. Jennifer says:

You should see another doctor because discolored discharge and an unpleasant smell is not normal. The first doctor you went to should of known something istead of shrugging it off.

  10. mia says:

If I were you I would figure a way to ask your husband to go get checked. I am not insinuating anything here but if your gyn doctor checked you and you don’t have any of the following diseases, their is something that is not right down there. Good luck with this problem. I would go back to the doctors and have him or her recheck you for everything. Have him do an annual on you

  11. Heather R says:

Get a second opinion. You need to go to another gyno. Smelly discharge is never ok, and green doesn’t sound healthy either. Also, make sure for a fact that you don’t have any STD the other Gyno may have missed. Just because you haven’t been with anyone doesn’t mean he hasn’t. HPV can cause it, as well as bacterial vaginosis. Notg to say your husband has been unfaithful, but HPV can lie dormant for some time. Go to the doc.

Question: When Should I See a Doctor about a Vaginal Discharge?
Answer: You should see your doctor immediately if you have an abnormal vaginal discharge accompanied by any of the following:

•If you feel weak, fatigued, or especially sick

•Anytime you have a yellow or green vaginal discharge and a fever

•If you experience severe abdominal pain or steady pain for more than 2 hours

  12. sunshine63 says:

No, this is not normal. That has to be an infection. Make an appointment to see another gynecologist.

  13. Galileah_B says:

the symptoms sounds like Vaginitis or Bacterial vaginosis. its a fungal infection and there are meds for it
You do need to see another doctor for that to do a pap smear.
Im suprised your doctor did not test you for that

    Dont douch
    wash with cold water
    change your sheets
no sex for a while since thats a fungal infection
    wear clean cotton undies
    avoid sweets on your diet
no scented pads or scented tampons for a while
do not wear tight fitting pants

Green vaginal discharge?

I've had a yeast infection recently and didn't act on it very quickly and one day my discharge was light green! I haven't had sex in a year and we used a condom. I would go to a doc but I have no $$ or insurance to pay for it. I started inserting acidophilus pills in before bed after researching online. Will this help?

It happened after a week of taking a lot of advil for a bad tooth which I can't afford to do anything about, of course. But, it's been quiet the past 2 weeks or so but the green discharge is still here. I've also been taking the acidophilus pills orally with food but stopped 3 days ago because I've started taking Zoloft and I wasn't sure if they'd have any affect, though I doubt it.
