A bacterial infection can happen to any girl at any time even if she’s not sexually active. It can happen if you wipe the wrong way after a bowel movement. Bacteria from your fecal material can cause a vagina infection. Always wipe front to back. If you wear thong underwear and aren’t clean enough after a bowel movement, the thong moving around can introduce bacteria into the vagina. You need antibiotics to kill bacteria go back to the doctor. I’ve never hear of using peroxide for a bacterial infection, and I certainly would not recommend you insert any into your vagina.
