could this be a vaginal infection?

for the past couple months, since i’ve been in afghanistan, i’ve been having some strange vaginal symptoms. when i pee, at the end, i wouldn’t say it burns, but that was the first word that came to mind. it was really more of a discomfort. also, i was having itching frequently, but now it’s not as often. most recently, after sex, when i pee it burns and i have the same discomfort and itching. i have no idea what it could be and i’m trying to put off going to the doctor until i get back to the states and can see my women’s health provider. any ideas of what this could be?
no discharge and unlike any yeast infection i’ve ever had, and i’ve had quite a few… it’s lasting forever too!

It really could be anything. Sounds more like a UTI to me, but if you feel its inside the vagina, it could be bacterial vaginosis, trichomonas, or a yeast infection. Until you get down to the states to have it checked out, get a Peri Bottle or a squirt bottle, fill it with luke warm water and squirt while you pee which will dilute the urine when you pee, making it less uncomfortable. After peeing squirt with more water and either air dry or dry on cold with a blow dryer. Take cystex if you can get it there, or cranberry juice to prevent the spread of the uti to the bladder if that is what it is. If it is a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis, you could try a betadine douche, though im not sure if those are available there.. Take the steps for treating the symptoms of uti til you can see a doctor.

You need to see a Dr! Drink more fluids too. Yellow discharge and itching is not normal.

  2. The Original recipe says:

The orange yellow color might be blood.

    Or not enough water.

If its blood it might be a UTI ( urinary tract infection)

Which can be cured in 10 days. 3 pills a day/

If it smells you might have a BV, Bacteria Vaginoisis.

Caused by bacteria from not being.. clean shall we say.

Which is cured with 2 pills. one day. and voila its gone.
    Good luck

  3. Curious says:

good news=== It’s not an STD

Bad news=== Might be Yeast Infection or BV.

No matter what it is you need to see a doctor. this happens to many many women. If you tell your mom she will be understanding.

BV is not cured with two pills. You will need a weeks worth of anti biotics. There is no guarantee that it won’t come back because BV has a lot to do with how you care for your body and diet. I prevent BV from reoccurring by taking probiotics daily(along with my daily vitamins). they are most effective if you take them after you take the entire treatment of antibiotics since they kill all of the bacteria(including the good bacteria).

Yeast infections can be cured with 1 or 2 pills. or Over the counter medication. Diflucan is an oral medication, I believe it is an anti fungal that destroys the overgrowth of yeast. If you are gonna use the OTC medication I do not suggest monistat1. It is very potent and it could make itching and burning worse before it gets better. 7 day monistat is better i think.

Could this be a vaginal infection?

If the discharge is thick, yellowish white, and has a strong odor? Also the odor gets worse after sex.
What could it be?
Oh and the discharge always seemed normal and then the color amount and smell changed after I started being sexually active.
What could it be?
ALSO: itchy at times.
And I always use a condom.

  3. fdslsg says:

    sounds like an STD, possibly.

doesn't sound like a yeast infection at all.

what it really sounds like is bacterial vaginosis, which is not an STD but happens to sexually active women.

  4. Tina Beana says:

its sounds possible that it is..go have it looked it….but it could just be bacterial vaginosis which isnt just from sex..its kinda like a yeast infection but not really yeast..so def. have it checked out….
