Go to the gyno and see if U have a yeast infection. I heard there was this product out (or coming out) that could tell you if you had a yeast infection even B4 going to the gyno. I 4got the name. Sorry.

Sounds like you have a yeast infection for sure. Nothing serious, but can cause odor and itching. You can get over the counter Monistat to use. It's easy and quick relief.

If it itches, smells bad or changes color then there is something wrong. Some women have vaginal discharge all the time and it's normal.

Same here–it's been like that for me for years. My mom freaked out when she saw my dirty laundry and thought it was a yeast infection like these guys think, but we got it all checked out with a gynecologist and we found out it was just normal. No worries! ^^

It is normal. Some people just produce more discharge than others.
It is probably "lumpy" when you are ovulating. Other than that, as long as you are not experiencing any itching, discomfort, or strong odors from it, you are perfectly fine.

Constant vaginal discharge??
->
I'm 15, and i've been having constant vaginal discharge since I was 12– even a year before i got my period. at first, it was just liquidy and clear, but afer i got my period, it became white, thicker, and smellier. When I'm not having my period, I'm having this white discharge. The area often gets itchy and red, and sometimes the skin breaks from the rubbing (can't help it!) and then it stings a lot.
And plus, suddenly, it's turned a shade of dark brown to black, even. i know it's common after the period, but my period ended a week ago.
oh, and I've never been sexually active.
Something's probably wrong– can you tell me what?
I know i should see a gyno or something but it's really awkward bc i'm only 15 and seriously, i don't want to have this conversation with my mom… but of course i will if i must…

Sorry, I have no idea, but I really think you should see a doctor. Don't be embrarrased. They're used to it. It's their job. Trust me, see a doctor soon. If somethings wrong, you need to fix it so you don't have long term problems.

It sounds like a yeast infection, have you been on antibiotics very much in the last few years? You probably should see a gyno because the over the counter medications probably aren't going to kill it since it's been going on for awhile, diflucan is a pill, usually 1 pill wipes it out but with your case you would need a weeks worth, possibly longer to wipe it out.

need to have mom take you to dr.sounds like a yeast infection , it will get worse my dear.you can try over the counter creams also. don't be afraid to go to the gyno dr.see if mom can find you a women dr,you feel better with a woman tha a man.

This is common. The dark brown discharge that you see is just called spotting and when you are young will happen often since your body is not use to having a period every month.
You should go and see a doctor if you are concerned. Tell your mom that you are not sexually active and you do not plan to be for a while, but you are worried about your discharge and want to talk to a professional. You should have your first pap smear soon after your first period. I had my first pap at age 14. It was very nerve racking and worrisome, but I'm glad that I had one because they found that I had a very serious problem. If you are uncomfortable with the thought of a pap then you could go to your general doctor and just talk to them about the problem without having to have the procedure.
Good Luck.

It sound like you have a yeast infection and maybe something else going on too. It's best to see your gynecologist or doctor as soon as you can. They can find out exactly what is wrong and treat you so yes you'll have to talk with your mom about this. If you want to start treatment now, you can by some over the counter medicine cream for yeast infections. You insert it into your vagina in a plastic tube for usually 7 day treatment. It will stop the itching almost immediately. Hope this helps!

The dark discharge is NOT normal. Just talk to your mom. I have had problems downstairs and its really easy to talk to your mom about it, much easier than you think. If you don't get it checked out it could affect your ability to have kids and whatnot or like something worse, cuz you have no idea what it is, na mean? Well good luck <3

I know you don’t to tell your mom but it sounds like a yeast infection. Try douching with yogurt; water it down a little first. I know it sounds like BS but it is not. If that does not work you need to go to the doctor and get some medicine that will cure it.

Its normal… its just part of your body’s process of cleaning itself. Its when you have a sudden change in discharge color/amount that there is reason for concern.

This discharge is called THRUSH and is very common.
Now, many women will tell U I am wrong because most who have or had thrush get itchy
Guess thats the thing..we all dont know it all.
Get a cream from the doctor to clear it up..Its been going for far too long.
Thrush is NOT a sexual disease.

Do you itch? If not, it’s not a yeast infection (thrush).
Once you start puberty a white and/or clear mucous discharge is normal. The vagina is self-cleaning. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused. Trust me, you don’t ever want it to go away. You will also have your own scent – musky – and it will smell stronger to you than to others.
This normal discharge will also continue after you get your period. You can wear a pantyliner if it bothers you. Some girls do produce more discharge than others.
Different Types of Discharge:
White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.
Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.
Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.
Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.
Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown. This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle.
Different types of infections:
Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching
Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva
