Lately around the ‘lips’ it has looked kind of red and there are white flakes on certain parts of it. I have never had sex, so I know it’s not an STD. Also when this thing started, it was really itchy down there and it wouldn’t stop itching even if I scratched. The only way to stop it is if I scratch really hard until it hurts. All inside the outer ‘lips’ it is all red and looks kind of like a rash…should I use some kind of rash cream or will this go away in a few days?

It started on July 29th,[2010] and it still itches right now…please tell me what the problem might be and possible ways to treat this at home.

She had me swipe the inside of my vagina and she looked at the discharge under a microscope. She said that she did not find yeast, trich, or BV. He said it was just an irritation and told me to use vagisil and dove scentless soap. My irritation continued to torture me. Two weeks later I had my doctors appointment and my doc did a vaginal exam and she put the swab under a microscope and she said that I did have a mid case of BV and she prescribe me metronidozole(something like that), which is an antibotic. It was a 7 day treatment and I got relief on the 3rd day but the symptoms came back and worst. So now I am depress because I am so miserable. So yesterday at my 21 weeks check up I told my doc I am still itching burning and all, so they check my urine and found 2+ leukyocytes(something like that) so she said it was a UTI but when she did my vaginal exam she said just by the look of it, she new it was a raging yeast infection but she was too lazy to put it under the microscope. I ask about the uti they found and she said it was just due to the discharge from the yeast infection. She prescribe we 2 med. Diflucan and some yeast infection creme. The diflucan is a 2day treatment and I began the creme after I finish the diflucan if my symptoms persist. Ok so heres the question Did the antibiotics cause the yeast infection? I took my first diflucan pill yesterday and a couple hours later I notice a bunch of vaginal mucus dicharge yellowish with chunks in it, coming out of my vagina. I been having this discharge all of along but it never alot like this. Does this mean the pill is working and thats just chunks of bacteria coming from my vagina or do i still have bv. I know some people say the bacteria just dissolves and you cant see it come out. I am not experiencing any itching or burning and the foul smell is just yeasty now as of yesterday.
I was looking for more answers, if you dont have one then move along and talk your shitt elsewhere.

I became pregnant with my 3 year old shortly after and since then have suffered from more frequent BV and Yeast infections. The doctors don’t always even find anything on the smear, but I constantly have an odor now which was NEVER a problem before. (The nurse suggested this might be my "natural odor", I was mortified.) Seriously, I have even been complimented by past partners for never having a smelly problem. And yes, I have been tested 2x in 3 years for every STD!
As you can imagine, in 3 1/2 yrs I have tried everything! Rx, OTC, douching (new for me), not douching, vaginal wipes, no baths, non fragranced vaginal soaps, suppositories, changing my diet, changing my panties, wearing panty liners, having my IUD removed, etc. The only thing I haven’t tried is garlic or vinegar, but if I am having odor (not fishy) with no itching, irritation, burning, or any thing else it seems silly to add a stinky item to the mix. I am at an utter loss here and my sex life with my hubby is suffering along with my self confidence. I just gave birth to my third son 6 weeks ago and I am breastfeeding. This problem continued during the pregnancy and postpartum. HELP PLEASE!!!!

I have a rash covering the entire area with the usual itchiness and pain. My doctor prescribed me 150mg tablets of Fluconazole. I took the first one and there were no improvements, although the packaging said some should be seen in as little as 25 hours. As directed by my doctor, I took the second 3 days later. It has now been over 25 hours since I took the last pill and I am still in distress. The pain and itchiness has caused many sleepless nights and I just want this to go away. I take the third and last pill in 2 days. I was also prescribed cream to help with the itching but it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference to me. I would like to hear from people who have experienced this as well while using this medication. I hope there is still hope to clear up this nuisance!

A quick short story.
About 3 weeks ago I was suffering from a bad vaginal infections. I went to the doctor, got my cute little bottle of gag educing pills, and went on my marry way. 7 days later, my infection didn’t go away so my doctor put me on another 10 days supply and got me a sample pack of a pro-biotic. As I was complaining about the fact that all these infection are ruining my sex life, my doctor told me about Rephresh.

Fast forward two weeks. My doctor told me to wait until after I was done with my antibiotic to start Rephresh but that just so happened to coincide with my period. So I finished my period, eagerly started my Rephresh, and 1 1/2 days later I have what I believe is a yeast infection, but I’ve also read that this could also be residue from the Rephresh.

—BOTTOM LINE!—
Is this a yeast infection brought on by the 2 weeks straight of antibiotics I was taking, or is this just the dead skin cells/Rephresh residue? (more or less, do I use the monostat or do I not use the monostat?)

I stupidly let it go and did not get on medications for it. So, a couple months later I got another bladder infection but this time I went to the doctor and got on antibiotics. That was about 4 months ago. I am in a long distance relationship so I only see my boyfriend about once or twice every 2 or 3 months. Ever since the last bladder infection sex has been extremely uncomfortable and even painful. I just have the feeling of having to urinate very badly during sex. On two occasions, I have even started bleeding during sex. Not just a small amount of blood either. And yes i have been tested for STI’s and all tests came back negative.
So five days ago I went to the clinic because I had gotten another bladder infection. I told the doctor about all these symptoms and she gave me antibiotics for the bladder infection and did a test and found that I have a yeast infection. But being that this was at the clinic, the doctor just sent in a assistant to give me the medications after she completed all the tests and did not explain anything to me. She just told me I had a yeast infection.
So my questions now; are bladder infections and yeast infections related? Could I have had this yeast infection for six months and that was the reason i was getting bladder infections? Or was i just getting bladder infections because of my first untreated one? Also, I am still not being given a reason for the bleeding?
