it might be an infection. nothing to worry about, this is common. just go to a doc , and they can give you something. but if it’s not an infection, it prob your period, like you said.

yeah it is blood, sometimes it is just brown but then it turns to red. You should be fine.

all this is is old blood, and the pain or burning when u pee and the itchiness could be a yeast infection

It’s just old blood running through your system before you get your normal period, It’s very normal and basically everyone gets it. If it’s itchy and there is a little pain when you urinate then you should see your doctor to make sure there is nothing else going on (IE) infection.

The vagina is self-cleaning, so as you approach your period, you could be cleaning out before hand – as in spotting.

Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.
