Bacterial Vaginosis during pregnancy ? First pregnancy and just want everything to go right :)?

Ill be 17 weeks pregnant on Sunday. I was afraid to tell my mom I was pregnant so i didnt get my first doc appt until i was 12w3d. where they diagnosed me with BV. Ive read it can cause preterm labor, etc. The BV has been gone for about 2.5 to 3 weeks now. and theres no symptoms of it being back. which is goood. Have any of you had it. If so did affect your pregnancy.?

  1. Braddon's mommy says:

I had it and took the antibiotic cream, it cleared up and I didn’t have any complications.

  2. Baby Boy is due April 8th, 2010! says:

I had it, and my Ob/Gyn prescribed an antibiotic that is inserted vaginally. It’s a gross paste and a pain in the a** to put in but it really did help!
However, I told my doc right away when I wasn’t feeling right. So they caught it right away, and it did not affect my pregnancy in any way.

    Good luck and congrats! :D
